Brock White Company is a proud sponsor of the City of Lakes Loppet event, a cross-country skiing festival featuring the beautiful trails and lakes of the Twin Cities! The Loppet event celebrates the Minnesota winters, by creating breathtaking lit paths along the lake trails.
Some of the events you can attend at the City of Lakes Loppet include a snow sculpture contest, Ice-cycle race, beer/bbq village, skiing, and of course, the amazing Park Nicollet Luminary Loppet and Tent Party. The Luminary Loppet features over 1,000 ice luminaries, sculptures, pyramids, and the Brock White Ice-Cropolis. Brock White provided the Sonotube Forms that make the display possible.
Post-Luminary Loppet Party:
Warm up after the Luminary Loppet at the Post-Luminary Loppet Party. Make a night of it and come tell stories, dance, and enjoy live music in the big tent in Uptown (at the top of the Mall near Hennepin Avenue). Beer, brats and barbecue for sale, with complimentary hot cocoa for the kids.
The event takes place on February 4th and 5th, 2012... This is an event you DO NOT want to miss! Even if you aren't into cross-country skiing, the trails are also available to walkers and snowshoers! With all the events, you are sure to have a great time!
