Green Bay Packaging Inc. in Coon Rapids, MN was undergoing a 50,000 SF expansion project. The original building, which was completed 15 years ago used a metallic dry shake surface hardener. This dry shake surface hardener would have worked on the concrete floor but was just not cost effective for this project. Brock White was challenged with coming up with a less costly alternative that would perform just as well and create the durable surface they were looking for.
Cementec's HARD-CEM fit the criteria and was used to finish the job. HARD-CEM is added to the concrete mix during the batching operation, unlike surface applied hardeners which are labor intensive and problematic for quality control HARD-CEM is easy to impliment. Green Bay Packaging Inc. was very pleased with the results.
