I-35 Patching

In January 2011, MN DOT was having problems on Interstate 35 in Duluth with parts of the driving surface raveling (coming apart at the joints). The resulting potholes were creating potential road hazards for drivers.
With the road construction on I-35 the old center line had become the place the wheels drove on through the winter. As winter progressed the old centerline raveled and opened up causing a potential hazard to motorists.
MN Dot tried cold mix numerous times and had failures so they tried Mastic One which held up with no failures. They also had potholes that were damaging tires and rims which they also filled in with Mastic One. Both these applications outperformed conventional methods of repairs.
