Petrotac 4591 is a factory pre-coated version of the Petromat interlayer system manufactured in strip form for the treatment of local pavement distress such as over joints, cracks, and potholes. Petrotac has a rubberized asphalt coating with a tackifier allowing the simple peel and stick hand application. Petrotac is thicker than the Petromat system allowing it to absorb more stress, making it more appropriate over slightly active joints and cracks. The factory applied rubberized asphalt coating forms a continuous moisture barrier.
