Concrete curing is the process by which concrete achieves its maximum strength. This requires the right conditions, mainly the the right temperature and a sufficient amount of moisture. Without sufficient moisture the chemical reaction of hydration cannot occur. The optimal temperature range is between 50 and 85 degrees fahrenheit. Between 40 and 50 degrees the hydration process slows, and below 40, virtually stops.
